A New Way to Understand Security Posture

The Security Posture Dashboard brings together key security metrics into a single, easy-to-understand view, helping organisations quickly assess their current position and prioritise their next steps.

At the heart of the dashboard is the new Security Posture Score, which assigns your organisation a grade from A-F based on factors such as asset coverage, scanning activity and security exposure.

It highlights the actions that will have the greatest impact on improving your score, and benchmarks you against other companies scanning a similar sized estate.

What You’ll See

The Security Posture Dashboard has been designed to answer some of the most common questions security teams ask:

• How effective is our current security programme?
• Where should we focus our efforts first?
• How do we compare to similar organisations?

The dashboard includes:

• Your overall Security Posture Score and grade, plus a breakdown of contributing factors
• Open critical and high-priority security issues, with recommended next steps ranked by impact
• Benchmarking against organisations of a similar size

Rather than adding another report to your workload, the aim is to provide immediate clarity and help teams make better-informed security decisions faster.

Turning Security Data into Prioritised Action

Many security platforms are good at identifying issues.

Far fewer help you determine which actions will generate the biggest improvement in your overall security posture.

The AppCheck Security Posture Score is calculated using information already available within your account, including:

• Asset coverage
• Scan frequency and recency
• Open security exposure

The dashboard analyses these areas and translates them into a small number of targeted recommendations, meaning less time spent trying to interpret data, and more time focused on meaningful improvements.

Demonstrate Progress Over Time

Security leaders are increasingly expected to demonstrate measurable improvement to internal stakeholders, customers and auditors.

The Security Posture Dashboard provides a straightforward way to visualise progress, making it easier to communicate security improvements and track the effectiveness of ongoing initiatives.

Instead of reviewing dozens of individual metrics, teams can monitor a single posture score while still being able to drill into the underlying factors that influence it.
