This blog post summarises AppCheck’s latest software releases for June 2023, from adding minor enhancements to the UI to enabling Multi-Factor Authentication for new accounts for added security, these updates collectively aim to improve user experience and streamline various tasks within the system.

GoScript Editor Upgraded

We’ve added some minor enhancements to the UI, offering a range of quality-of-life improvements. These include Syntax Highlighting, Logging, Auto authentication generation, Scan authentication testing, Header editing, Property editing, and local storage backups. These changes are designed to streamline your scripting process and boost efficiency.

And that’s not all. We’re rolling out a web GUI update that integrates the new GoScript UI. This will enhance your GoScript writing process with features like:

• Generate Auth: This feature uses the same code as our scanner, automatically creating a login script when provided with a URL, username, and password.
• Analyse Auth: This functionality runs apck-auth (used in the scanner) to test authentication tokens. It helps verify if the process will work correctly before passing it to the scanner.
• Syntax Highlighting and Property Table: Enjoy improved script writing with syntax highlighting and a property table for tasks like variable substitution.
• Logs Tab: While currently not exhaustive, the logs tab will play a more significant role as we update the GoScript Runners.

Bug Fixes for Scan Hubs: Scan hub pages have been enhanced to include more information about the status and health of internal hubs in operation.

Default MFA for New Accounts: Security is a priority, which is why Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is now enabled by default for all new accounts. This extra layer of protection ensures your data is safe and secure.
