What’s Its Main Purpose?

Instead of requiring users to log in separately to each application or service they need to access, SSO enables users to authenticate once and then gain access to all authorised resources without needing to re-enter their credentials.

How does this improve your AppCheck experience?

• Improved User Password Management: With SSO, users need to remember only one password. This reduces the likelihood of users resorting to weak passwords or reusing passwords across multiple sites, a common practice that can significantly compromise security.
• Supported identity providers: Includes Okta and Azure (and generic SAML) with others in the pipeline.
• Reduced Administrative Overhead: SSO reduces the need for multiple password resets and account lockout issues, decreasing the workload on IT departments. This not only improves security by ensuring timely access revocation when necessary but also allows IT staff to focus on other security tasks.
